The American School in Switzerland (TASIS) uses an integrated mathematics curriculum which spirals five major strands throughout the course. These strands are algebra, geometry, statistics, number theory and applied mathematics. I am teaching two courses for school year 2015-2016. Math 4 is the culminating mathematics course for the majority of grade 8 students. Here is the Math 4 course outline:

Math 5 is an extension course for advanced Grade 8 students that follows the IB approach and IGCSE standards of an Extended 1 high school math class. The course is taught using individual and collaborative Problem-Based Learning engagements on both the theory and real-world application of mathematics concepts. Here is the Math 5 course outline:
